Procedure:
You will be asked to change to a gown with the opening in the front and removing clothing from the waist down.
A highly trained technician will use the probe to evaluate the arteries from your groin to your ankles at several different sites. You will not feel anything during the procedure except the slight pressure and movement of the transducer over your skin. You may need to turn in different positions to adequately view the vasculature and you will be asked to hold your
breath or stop breathing at various times to record the images.
The results of your test will be carefully reviewed and interpreted by the Cardiologist.
Preparing for the Test:
There is no need for any special preparation unless otherwise informed.
